I thought ya'll would enjoy these lovely yearbook photos of Emmett and I through the years. Oh how he have changed!!! I always thought those hairstyles were so cool back when I was young and now I am looking back and what was I thinking? I mean that afro and that shag just don't work with the shape of my face. Isn't it just amazing!
okay on a serious note though....i got FREAKED OUT once I looked at these again because Emmett looks just like Dad and I look just like Mom. Some of these pictures I thought I accidently put mom's picture in....weird how that genetic stuff works! and Mom I think you actually used to have that hairstyle in the 4th picture.....hahahaha LOVE YA!
School is going well. I am a little stressed about waiting tables and doing class at the same time....which makes me think I might need to find a lower stress job...so we will see. I am in charge of the Derby Days dance team and I am also Tigerama chair. For those of you who do not know, Derby Days is a week long philanthropy for the fraternity Sigma Chi, and Papa (as in Gayle Kerr) was a Sigma Chi at USC. It's kind of cool how I can get involved in something that Papa did back in the day. Tigerama is the skit competition held at Homecoming each year so that should be fun! Tom and Sherry came for Parent's Weekend last weekend and we had a great time! They were huge hits with all my friends...It has almost been a week and I still have people coming up to me telling me that they heard by parents were really cool (and that my dad is crazy...in a good way....but ya'll already know that right?)
Funny Story:
Today I was riding on the CAT bus which is the campus bus that takes you to class. The bus was especially packed today so I had to stand in the aisle and hold onto those handle things that hang down. Well.....there was heavier-set black girl standing in front of me. So on this beautiful October 1st morning the CAT bus driver woke up with lead in his foot and it just so happened to slam on the brakes at very unfortunate times. As we pulled around the last curb I let out a sigh of relief knowing that this trip was almost over. I was wrong. As we pull to the last stop the driver takes one more slam on the brakes and what happens? I am not quite sure....but I do know that I was on my back on the floor of the CAT bus with a heavier-set black girl on top of me and she couldn't get up. So about 30 Clemson students had the pleasure of enjoying a good morning laugh watching the awkward white girl get sandwiched to the bus floor. It was a great day....

Hadley and I with Paisley and Raley! This is the night of my birthday and Hadley's birthday eve. Raley has gotten so much bigger! She didn't do too well with potty-training at home in Bville but she is doing much better in Clemson. She goes and sleeps in her crate by herself now and doesn't even whine when I leave. She puked on my flip-flops a few days ago and also chewed up one of my bras......that might be too much information....whatever. Oh! and she also found out that she could swim. Hadley, Kelly, and I all went down to the lake and Raley jumped right in the water, but she liked rolling around in the sand a lot more and somehow managed to find some old dog food that other people had left behind buried in the sand.......so thats how the whole puking thing happened because she ate too much sandy dog food at the lake. Work is going really well, I have finally gotten comfortable talking to tables and opening wine bottles simultaneously and I have made some good friends also. I hope ya'll are doing well and I can't wait to see everyone. :) Love ya'll - VK
This is my new puppy Raley!!! She is eight weeks old and she is a dashchund/beagle mix. I got her from the shelter where Hadley (roommate) works. She follows Paisley (Hadley's dog) everywhere and she likes to sleep with our cat! But anyways...I will put up more pictures later...
oh and for the last post I need to tell you what each picture is since I have had some questions.
The picture at the beach is Kappa Alpha Old South in Myrtle Beach where we dress up like southern belles and have a formal type dance thing. Um Then there is our woodstock mixer where we are dressed like hippies. My very attractive and slightly tacky airbrushed shirt is from Gatlinburg, TN where we stayed for our cabin weekend. It says "Kelly Hadley Virginia Best Friends" hahahha....i fit in well with the crowd downtown in that shirt.....umm then there are some roomie pictures. The one where we are in costumes is from our mixer "Decked Out in D's" where we wore any costume that started with a "D." Hadley was directions, Kelly was Donatello from the Ninja Turtles, and I was DairyQueen. And then last but not least is "Find Your Sister a Mister" where your friends secretly find your date for you and you wear their tie and you don't find out who he is until you get to the actual function....the boy is Wyatt. I wish I had a dollar for everytime I had a family member ask me "who is that cute boy." He is from Charlotte, NC and he is my age....and no we are not dating or anything but yes he is very cute. ummmm i think that is all. Hopefully I will have some Clemson Summer pictures and birthday pictures up soon. love ya'll :)
Hey ya'll! I know I haven't posted pictures in a while....second semester has been busy. Here are some pictures from formal. Thats Kelly and Hadley...Kelly is in the red dress and Hadley is the one on the right. Thats our house in the background of all the pictures since we painted and stuff. We had everyone over at our house before formal and had appetizers and goodies...it was a lot of fun! anyways....love ya'll and can't wait to see you again :)
Hey everyone! The first eight pictures are from New Years/Bowl Game in Jacksonville, Florida. It was probably in my top two most fun times ever....next to St. Patrick's Day in Savannah, GA. After the Jax pictures you can view the beautiful score of the Clemson/Carolina game...just in case you forgot that Clemson won. :) There is one of semi-formal and then a few game day photos at the Esso with my parentals. After that is another semi-formal...Tigerama cast..Halloween as a Gameboy (old school Gameboy of course) and then parent's cocktail. I hope ya'll will enjoy these. I will post again soon. My first social function that I am planning for TriDelt is next Thursday so I will take pictures of the venue and the band and all of that for everyone to see. Love ya'll :)
