Hey Everyone!!!
Sorry I haven't written in a while, I have strep and its not fun. but on a lighter note.......

the other day me, matt, sarah, jessica, rob, jamie, caleb and charles all went to the dam at lake hartwell. now dont freak out but we slid down the dam and it was so much fun. dad said he used to do that too. it was great!!

First friday is coming up and we are in the process of making our float. the theme of first friday is "Fun in the Sun and Death in the Valley" and our float has a tiger eating a shark or something like that.

sometime in the near future i need to go and get an outfit for the first game!! but between all of that I need to study chemistry! ahhhhh

aNYWAYS i have so much to do! and ps...i cant wait for luke to get here :)

FINALLY RUSH WEEK IS OVER! Around 1:00 today we got these envelopes that had the sorority invitation in them. I was FREAKING OUT.....but i opened it and it said Delta Delta Delta (my favorite one) and i was so excited. I screamed and ran around the hall a few times. Then I found out that 4 other girls on my hall that I have become friends with were TRi-Delt too. Then we went to Bowman and ran down the hill to our sororities. We got t-shirts, bumper stickers, keychain things, monogrammed bags..all kinds of stuff. After that we went to a place called the retreat and ate. The theme was western and the front of our tshirts says "bid day 2006 tri delt" and the back has a colorful cowboy boot and it says "Delta Delta Delta- How the Best was won" and at the retreat everything was western like the food and decorations. I am pretty excited. Tomorrow night at a Beth's apartment (a sophomore in tridelt) we are making a homemade slip-n-slide so that should be really fun. Also, our first function is Fall Band and that is where you get a date and go to the retreat and there is a band and you dance and stuff. After that we have "TriDelt Roundup" and we go get our dates and blindfold them and dont take the blindfolds off until we are at the dance so that should be fun too. anyways....i have some pictures..ENJOY:)

yay! it is finally friday! so today I went to Biology and Psychology. I have officially changed my major to Food Science and Nutrition. I am pretty pumped up about this. The only thing I am not pumped up about is this chemistry class i enrolled in and the yoga that I was forced to drop :( no good. I finished my last real rounds of rush which is SUCH a relief. I am pretty positive which sorority I want to be in....but I will keep that a secret until Bid Day:) tomorrow i have to wake up at 7am to get my schedule and then off to Pref. which is the one on one discussion (the formal and last step of rush) This has been a crazy first week of college. It will be weird next week when i dont have meetings to attend all the time. also...last night i rented Bruce Almighty and watched it in the dorm with Matt, Jordan and Janay ahha and when i went to blockbuster the guy behind the counter let me get caramel corn and a drink for free. how cool is that? Janay and I are getting along really well, she is hilarious. Also alston and blake Oliver....(friends from home for those who dont know) are in Clemson visiting for the night so I am pretty excited. I absolutely love it here! anyways.....its almost time for another meeting. love yall-VK

Hello Everyone!!! so today was the second day of class! I only had two: Ashtanga yoga and math 101. We didn't actually do any yoga today which disappointed me a little bit. My teacher is all peaced out though. She carries around a weird bag and I dont think she wears shoes or a bra. hahahhaha ok so I know i usually DETEST math...but it wasn't so bad. I have a younger teacher who favors Cam Kennedy. He is very nice and very willing to help (unlike past math teachers *cough cough*YOU KNOW WHO)yeah so we worked on Euler's Circuit theory and how it applies to some bridge in Germany. Not my cup of tea but i mean you gotta do whatcha gotta do. I recently started wondering about my major and i am reeeally looking into changing it to Food Science and Nutrition. I have talked to several people about it and it sounds like something I would really be interested in. I do love English so I want to keep that my minor so that I can still have Lit classes. So just an idea. It is 10:45 in the morning and I am done for the rest of the day! this is GREAT! i can rest up for rush. oh I also went back to the library in hopes of conquering my fear. it worked. i walked around a little bit and then got a bagle and mint flavored Javalanche in Java City (the library coffee shop-how cool is that?!) annyywwayys im about to get some homework done then head to Harcombe (the good dining hall across campus) with matt...then rush. wish me luck :) I love and miss ya'll!

well- I am officially a Clemson student as of today when I started classes. Mom and Dad informed me that we actually have class in college......what an interesting thought. My Western Civilization teacher was an Israeli man who couldn't speak very well, but very nice. My Biology teacher ran around our class of 230 students dancing to "Let's Get it Started" by the Black-eyed Peas before screaming BIOLOGY IS AWESOME! and my French teacher only speaks French. This is a problem because I speak English.....therefore producing somewhat of a language barrier.
I am just getting back from Rush functions which are hectic!!!! I am exhausted. I have a rush meeting tonight at 11:30! I think they might be trying to make me an insomniac. It is okay though because i have met tons of people and I am looking very forward to joining a sorority :)
My roommate Janay is very nice and we get along well. She is very funny!
I have my first yoga class tomorrow morning and then Math which should be SO MUCH FUN BECAUSE I LOVE MATH! (sarcasm).....
so much goes on here that I can't keep track like i did in high school. at ol' REL everyone always knew the fun places to be but as i was walking to Tillman I saw an FCA cookout on Bowman...and then on the way back at the Ampitheater they were having a free showing of Napoleon Dynamite. Tons of people had blankets and chairs eating ice cream and watching the movie.
oh i have another story.....i went to the library for the first time today and the canteen for the first time. I was soooo scared both times because of all the upperclassmen that already knew what they were doing. I successfully printed out my class schedules in the library and managed to snag some sushi in the canteen so its all good.
